Find Your Remedy in My Words

May our sons flourish in their youth like well-nurtured plants. May our daughters be like graceful pillars, carved to beautify a palace. Psalm 144_ 12.png

Cast your cares on me. I know your burdens are heavy – they are weighing that precious heart down. Let go and give me your worries. Put all your hefty troubles on my shoulders. Cry out to your Abba Father, dear one. My body was broken for you.

Nestle yourself within my warm embrace. Feel my heart beating for you. I am here for you. My heart bursts with affection over your life, beauty and irreplaceable makeup.

You are mine.

Do not forget you are a child of promise. Do not lose sight of this precious assurance, child. The complex netting of your veins, vibrant color of your eyes and intricate composition of your soul is one of a kind. You were made with a heavenly purpose in mind. I knit you together to be a Kingdom Seeker.

Honor your body, value your life – for you are far more cherished than rubies. You, my dear, are a pillar in my castle.

Stand tall and strong. You adorn my courts with beauty and strength. Lean into me when times seem turbulent. I am always here, sweet one. Hold on to the hem of my robe of righteousness with unwavering faith. I will show you great and mighty things and work through you in breathtaking ways.

Don’t lose heart. Don’t crumble under worldly pressure. Look to me in times of trouble and find your remedy in my words.

Remember your purpose and revere it.

May our sons flourish in their youth like well-nurtured plants. May our daughters be like graceful pillars, carved to beautify a palace. – Psalm 144: 12

May Your Name Always Be on My Lips

_What's closest to your heart is what you talk about and if God is close to your heart, you'll talk about Him._ - AW TozerJesus – may your name always be on my lips. You alone are good, God. You alone are majestic. May others see your spirit shining strong and hovering over my life.

Consume me, sweet Savior.

My bones yearn for my Maker. They rattle at the mention of your name. You, Christ, dazzle me. Your sacrifice humbles me. It brings me to my knees in gratitude and awestruck wonder.

“What’s closest to your heart is what you talk about and if God is close to your heart, you’ll talk about Him.” – AW Tozer

Overwhelmed, like a speck of sand looking out over the vastness of your oceans of mercy, I cannot help but weep when thinking of diving into your arms.

You open your arms – fully aware of my imperfections and human depravity – yet, you still call me worthy.

You clothe me in your strength and righteousness – and give me a new name. I hold up my hands empty and trembling and you fill them with your abundant, overflowing grace.

You have charged me to be a light to the broken – a lamp to the lost.

I pray that my soul will always be stirred by your noble theme. Your endless love makes my heart leap – for you are the reason for my existence.

You are the purpose. Your precious blood saved my life, and I will dance and lift my voice to the heavens – knowing you hear me and draw near. May I sing of your love forever.

“I cried out to him with my mouth; his praise was on my tongue. If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; but God has surely listened and has heard my prayer. Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!” – Psalm 66: 17-20

I Am With You Always

“… and be sure of this—that I am with you always, even to the end of the world.” – Matthew 28_20gI am present always. That’s a glorious truth I desire for you to grasp, sweet one. You never walk through deep waters alone. I am right beside you – holding you up in the furious wind. You may think your body will not be able to sustain you in the treacherous climate; but, I am here. Your body will not buckle if you operate in my strength.

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” – Exodus 14: 14

I will support you. In fact, it gives me great pleasure to fight for you, my child. When you trust in my might and step forward in sheer faith, it delights my heart. You will be like a reed in the wind – shaken but deeply rooted tall and strong.

Listen to the howling of the gales around you and be not afraid. Though they may frighten, commit to memory that my power can conquer all. Place your hands in mine and never let go. Repeat this truth over and over – you are never alone. Call out to me, and I will answer.

“… and be sure of this—that I am with you always, even to the end of the world.” – Matthew 28:20

I love you with an everlasting love, child. I have come so that you might have life! Breathe in the life, grace and hope that I offer to you. Command the winds in your life – to be still in my name. They will surrender to your God – for they were crafted by my hands.

Rest in peace. Walk in freedom. Claim these things. Raise your emancipation banner high! You are no longer a slave to sin and death.

Release that burden that pulls you down like a heavy medal around your neck. Leap for joy – because your God sustains you. Remember you were created to choose everlasting life.  Choose life – and live fully committed to my spirit.

When I Rise – Give Me Jesus

I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. – Proverbs 8_17The sleepy sun rises in the distance – over the hills, meadows and tall buildings. The warmth of its glow tickles our skin and quickly welcomes us to a new day on this earth. Every single day we have an opportunity to make a mark, imprint on a life and breathe his glory in this rocky terrain.

However, what we set our minds on – impacts what air we will expel onto others. Do we start our days with doubts and worries of events in the future? Do we dread the routine of life to miss out on the opportunity that presents itself to us like crackling fire works?

We must start the day with an outlook – one focused through heaven’s spectacles. May we truly ask for the eyes of Christ each morning. I pray for us – in the morning, when we rise – that we seek Jesus.

“In the morning, when I rise – give me Jesus.

Give me Jesus, give me Jesus,

You can have all this world – just give me Jesus. – Songwriters: C.S. Brown

Give Me Jesus lyrics © Warner/Chappell Music, Inc.

It’s a precious time – one so intimate and necessary. A time in stillness and quiet when we can truly listen for our Father and set our minds on things above for the day.

Just as an athlete has a regimen of weights, cardio and diet, our fuel comes from the pages of his promises. We desperately need to be centered in his righteousness.

I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. – Proverbs 8:17

He has lined his children’s trail with precious gems. However, they are hidden riches and he calls us to search for them, seek them out – and share them with others.

Seek God – sweet one, from the tranquility of your home, from the stillness of your work-space or in the quiet in your car. Open his words and let them change you from the inside out.

He is waiting to speak to us – and show us the path he has ahead of us.

If we seek, we will surely find.

You Stand With Me in Low Places

No matter what I have, Your grace is enough. No matter where I am, I'm standing in Your love. – Tauren Wells _ _Hills And Valleys_You stand with me in the low places – when I am covered in the mire and the vines from the jungle hinder my clear view. You hold me when my tears are heavy and my outlook on life – is muddled and seems truly terrifying.

When I can only hear the distant roar of predators in the valley, you speak force and courage to this feeble heart. Though it might appear to my finite eyes that I’m encased in a valley of dry bones, you’ve shown me time and time again that you can breathe life into parched and thirsty situations.

When I cry out for you … you answer in a thunderous way. You, LORD, water my dehydrated heart and truly reignite my heart strings to pump with vigor once again. May I always remember God that I am not alone in the ravine. You walk beside me – waiting for me to call out to you in my desperation.

In my desperation I prayed, and the LORD listened; he saved me from all my troubles. – Psalm 34: 6

But, I am never desperate in your hands. I am safe, secure and loved. You remind me of the steadfast armor you have given me through your sacrifice.

I am safeguarded from the arrows that glide through the thin, humid air. These weapons will not crush me. I will walk away unscathed – for you are there with me in the battle of this life.

There are hills and valleys in this life; but, you, LORD, are with me in all places – and in the in-between.

May I truly learn to praise you on the mountain top with elevated arms and in the trenches with open fists. You are making me strong, complete and resilient in you.

No matter what I have, Your grace is enough. No matter where I am, I’m standing in Your love. – Tauren Wells | “Hills And Valleys”

Lead me, guide me. May I feel you standing beside me, holding my hand. I am not alone in the maze of this life. I have a guide who can tear down barriers and scale walls. Hallelujah.

When The Brook Has Dried Up

'The jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the LORD sends rain on the land.' - 1 Kings 17_ 7, 8 & 14You’re parched – literally craving the mist circling like a watery aura around the garden hose. You lean forward and try to guzzle that stream of cool water; yet – the spicket runs dry before you can enjoy even one taste.

You grimace and feel destitute; but, sometimes the brooks in our lives run dry. We sit there with empty hands, scratch our heads and try to lap up the dust – but the stream is emaciated.

When this happens, we can feel helpless – like a toddler that has our security blanket snatched from us too soon, we cry out and are baffled at why this water has been stolen from us. It’s not only appalling, it’s painful.

But is it necessarily a bad thing to be parched – especially when we are trusting entirely too much in our own shallow water source?

God gives and takes away.

And though the taking away part might be extremely agonizing, if you are a Child of God – never doubt that he will always give you beauty for ashes and strength for fear.

He will point you to the stream that overflows with rich, cool, never ending water – for by drinking from that brook, we truly fill our souls.

“Some time later the brook dried up because there had been no rain in the land. Then the word of the LORD came to him …”

“The jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the LORD sends rain on the land.” – 1 Kings 17: 7, 8 & 14

We must let the LORD’s rain water our spirits and wash away our feeble sources of fulfillment.

This might mean a little time in the desert – walking on crackling, thirsty soil. But, it’s worth it. You may not feel like it now – but wandering can lead to bold contentment.

Like the Israelites, their time in the desert was not wasted. They saw miracles come to pass, God raised up brave leaders and they were led to a land flowing with milk and honey.

May we drop our earthly wanton desires and seek the water that daily provides nourishment to our souls.

God will not let you be barren for a lifetime.

He wants to water your roots; but water them with his stream of healing, living waters.

Beautiful Love Bursting Forth

The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying_ _I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. – Jeremiah 31_3Love. It’s bursting forth. Like a bubbling brook with cool, refreshing water. God’s love for us is overflowing and never-ending. What love is this that the Father has lavished upon us!

The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. – Jeremiah 31:3

He looks into our eyes – and deep emotion is garnered. Affection is felt. Not the kind of affection we feel for a family member, loved one, children or spouse. No, this love is deeper. It’s a mixture of all those loves combined along with heavenly, pure passion.

What chills we would feel, if we were to look into the physical face of the King of Kings! One day – we will. But until then, we are blown away at the sensation we garner as the LORD’s loving wind sweeps over our senses.

This feeling is beyond compare. It’s selfless. No mortal being can love us with this type of zeal and adoration.

He is jealous for me, loves like a hurricane; I am a tree, bending beneath the weight of His wind and mercy. When all of a sudden, I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory, and I realize just how beautiful You are, and how great Your affections are for me. – David Crowder Band Lyrics

Look up to the heavens, sweet child of the King, and feel the LORD’s love wash over you. He is pleased when you fall before him and thank him for his gracious and greatest sacrifice of all – his blood.

Dance in the freedom that God’s self-sacrificial love has given you. Share his light with the world. He has not called you to be a canister that blocks and snuffs out his all-encompassing light.

Shine bright. Breathe in his love, and share it with others searching and seeking. We all need love, and the kind that the Father of Lights offers can complete a seeking soul! Amen.

May I Not Conceal Your Love And Your Faithfulness

I do not hide your righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and your saving help.We shouldn’t hide it – that light that beams from within our souls. Our hearts are not meant to be camouflage canisters, tucked away for safekeeping. They are made to palpitate in severity for the King of Kings.

Let the world see your life chamber beat with robust rhythms. Don’t quench that love that flows from the sparkle in your eyes and the crevices of your smile. You make a difference when you radiate Christ.

I do not hide your righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and your saving help. I do not conceal your love and your faithfulness from the great assembly. – Psalm 40:10

We are beckoned to share the luminous blessing of our salvation. How could we hide such a rich treasure that makes our souls soar and dead bodies come to life?

Broken and alone, this world is seeking. People are searching for the light your body houses – the light that scorches isolation, fear and discouragement. You carry a powerful light, sweet child of God! You carry the truth that will cut through falsehood.

You will meet resistance. Remember the darkness cannot tolerate the light for in its presence, it dissipates. Hold fast – and stand firm. The steadfast heart is rewarded with crowns of splendor.

Fasten your feet to the bedrock of your Savior’s loyalty. Like a knight dressed in solid silver, hold up that sword and shield in courage. Shout in clarity the battle cry of strength and victory.

Do not be ashamed of the Gospel, dear one. Evil will try to make you feel afraid and humiliated of your moral stances – but resist this vile untruth. Focus on the sweet fruit from the vine of the LORD.

The vine always provides the life sustaining nutrients in order to sustain the plant. Drink up the provision of the King. His nourishment will equip you for every challenge you may face!

That I May Gain Christ!

For He has satisfied the thirsty soul, And the hungry soul He has filled with what is good. – Psalm 107_9.jpgWe all enjoy accolades and the allure of the glittering, glowing lights of grandeur. Like moths we circle the beams of carnality. We reach for that golden hoop that will somehow satisfy that fleshly taste for fulfillment.

But will clutching that sparkly prize fully gratify?

We can bathe in the riches of this world and dine on the fanciest meals of lobster and caviar; however, these temporary things will only make us happy for a time.

Eventually the shine will rust and our hearts will grow restless once again – looking for something bigger, greater and fancier to satisfy!

But, oh, to feed on the manna from on high!

That is the lasting serum that will stick to your stomach and bones. In comparison to the treasures from heaven, worldly things are just rubbish. They are simply leftovers, good for nothing.

I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage that I may gain Christ. – Philippians 3:8

Things of this world – fancy cars, luxury boxes at sporting events, endless riches and high-rise condos mean nothing when thinking of the glory and grandeur of heaven.

All that matters is if we know Christ. For if we have that relationship, we are rich beyond compare. Emulating his fruits and drinking from his overflowing fountain of life is life altering.

Break free from the desire of carnal possessions. Strive sweet seeker – for the godly, the supernatural. There you will find peace and fulfillment. Do not trust in manmade trinkets, but trust in the promises of the Most High.

For He has satisfied the thirsty soul, And the hungry soul He has filled with what is good. – Psalm 107:9

The Keys To The Kingdom

I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven...The Kingdom of God – we get a glimpse of it with our finite eyes. It glows in the pupils of our earthly wonder and amazement. However, we miss the grandeur of this holy place if we fail to look through heaven’s eyes.

Our Maker has handed his children the keys to such a hallowed ground. This should make our bodies shake with delight. Nothing can compare to the riches housed beyond the gate of this beautiful kingdom.

I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. – Matthew 16: 19

Can you wait for the day that we can call the Kingdom of God home? Pulses racing and heart pounding, we will walk up to the entrance enthralled at the beauty that surrounds us. The beauty that is unmatched – because Christ’s throne is stationed in this heavenly abode.

However, it is important to remember – Jesus’ kingdom is not just planted in the watercolor sky. His kingdom is alive inside each and every believer. He lives in you – and that key is imprinted on your pumping heart.

For the Kingdom of God is already among you. – Luke 17:21

If you are a believer, Jesus lives in you. And, you house the Holy Spirit. Though you are not in a physical kingdom (that day is coming!). The King lives in your spirit. He moves in your midst. What a wonderful realization!

Like an invisible shield, our LORD is there to protect, defend and offer so much love to your weary heart. Trust, look up to heaven and cling on to your key that offers life.

May we truly digest that the Savior of our Souls breathes deeply throughout the chambers of our hearts. May we feel his love and earnest affection today and always!

Say aloud today – his kingdom is alive in my heart, and he has handed me the keys to unlock wonders beyond compare. With every beat of my heart, let me acknowledge his kingdom and radiate his supreme light.
