About the Blog

This blog is my outlet.

It is my heart and fervent cries to my Father. It’s my poetry and sometimes disheveled thoughts. It is my musings and observations on life. It’s my sounding board and sometimes online prayer journal.

Above all my soul is committed to Christ. It is my charge to spread His love! It humbles me that he would give this charge to broken pots, like myself, but He does. And that is truly beautiful. He makes glorious masterpieces from earthen vessels.

In this world we will have troubles; but, take heart beloved – our LORD has overcome the world! (John 16:33)

Let’s face it — so often times, we lose our sense of identity. We feel tired, worn and weary. The world can beat us down.  I can definitely relate to feeling this way. The pressure of our jobs, stress of family obligations and the juggling of personal time can seem overwhelming at times.

However, it is important to remember – we are not defeated. It always encourages me to think on 2 Corinthians when I feel conquered and bruised.

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.  –2 Corinthians 4: 8-9″

In fact, God whispers over his daughters – just the opposite. He calls us favored and blessed! He is making us into Queen Esther’s and Valiant Warrior’s like Deborah. All we need to do is reflect and claim – the beautiful promises he has already spoken over us!

God has called us to trade in our paper crowns – for dresses made of pure silk. He wants us to forget the ordinary and seek the extraordinary. He is waiting to replace that dollar store crown with a crest of solid gold. He asks simply – give up the simple and hold out your hands for the beauty of my blessings!

Will you walk with me on this journey – seeking God’s pure treasure? Will you trade in your paper party crown for a dress made of silk?
