Hallelujah in the Waiting

We will walk forward in faith fully trusting your divine direction. You lead your people into abundance. You are the God that moves mountains. You are the King that reigns in gentleness but also authority. We look to you when times appear bleak. We look to you when we feel like we are waiting for answers.

We avert our gaze from the things of this world and focus on the glory that shines from your face. Looking at you sets our minds at ease. You are our banner that flows forcibly in the wind. When we want to surrender, your strength sustains us.

Awesome is God from his sanctuary; the God of Israel—he is the one who gives power and strength to his people. Blessed be God! – Psalm 68:35

Move in mighty ways, Dear Lord. May we see your hands extended in these days – showering your children with love, blessings, and power.

We will walk forward in faith fully trusting in your divine direction. You lead your people into abundance. May we sing to you and lift our voices loud with utmost affection. You are the God who still moves and preforms miracles.

We see you in the clouds, God. We wait for your direction and shout “hallelujah” in the waiting – for you are always good.

Do Not Lose Heart – The God Who Made The World Sees You

Dear One,

Remember as Children of the Light we are not to live in fear “for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7, KJV). It’s easy to fret when we see stories on the news regarding pandemic and plague. We see footage of panic and apprehension. The mention of disease can cripple one’s faith and allow doubt to grab hold of one’s heart. The unknown is scary. It can shake our cores. It will rattle our understanding.

But do not lose heart – the God who made this world sees you. He knows your struggle. He can read your forlorn soul, and he hears your prayers. Now is not the time to sit back and wallow in fear. It is the time for God’s faithful to fall on our knees in prayer. As William Cowper so eloquently wrote,

“When we don’t pray, we quit the fight. Prayer keeps the Christian’s armor bright. And Satan trembles when he sees. The weakest saint upon his knees.”

We may feel uneasy about what is happening around the world, and it’s prudent to take precaution to protect your family and your loved ones. However, we mustn’t shrink back in fear. The God who made the flowers, seas and stars has us in the palms of his Mighty Hands.

The God who closed the lions’ mouths when Daniel was thrown into that dark, dangerous den – is standing right beside us. The God who danced with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the furnace is holding us up with his mighty right hand. The God who led the Israelites out of the dusty desert is guiding us to safety.

May we beseech the Lord on our knees not out of fear; but, with blessed assurance knowing that he is the one “who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20). He is the one who can heal our land and work magnificent wonders with his great power.

Let us collectively cry out,

“Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure (Psalm 147: 4,5). His power is limitless and his mercy infinite.

May we take time today to drown out the noise on the news, because it will terrify. We must focus our thoughts on God’s rich promises and fall our knees before he who sits on the eternal throne. He is the one who breathes life into bones to create a vast army.

Let’s remember this world is not our home. We are just visitors. We are here to spread the light and love of the one who made us. As Jesus said,

“In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

He Who Has Promised is Faithful

You have given a banner to those who fear You, That it may be displayed because of the truth. – Psalm 60_4.jpgYou call us to step in sync to the power of your voice. It’s rhythmic, calming and soothing. Oh, but it takes faith to walk this road. We must lay aside our monstrous fears and focus on your light. In assurance, we go forward in faith – for we know he who called us out onto what we believe are the waters of uncertainty is faithful.

You are the God of promises. You encourage us to breathe in your provision and exhale’s this world’s heartaches. You are the Great Physician that mends our broken chests back together with the words that breathe life into dry bones. You stitch us back together with the glory from the hem of your robe. We are no longer broken pots but sanctified vessels.

You reward those who believe and earnestly seek you. Father, rain down on us the blessings of this beautiful promise. We are seeking you in this darkness on our knees with elevated hands.

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. – Hebrews 11:6

May we feel this water fall from heaven. May it soak our souls with anticipation and excitable joy. Your words irrigate our spirits, Lord!

Show us your glory! Ignite a bush in the wilderness. Give us a sign. Speak to us, Beautiful Creator. Charge us in this season and for such a time as this!

We take off our sandals and accept your holy instruction, Abba Father. In obedience, we look up and receive the mantle you’ve spoken over us. It waves as a banner over our heads.

You have given a banner to those who fear You, That it may be displayed because of the truth. – Psalm 60:4

May we fulfill your calling. May we shine your beautiful, radiant light. No longer terrified, may we keep our eyes fixated to the cross and the blood that was shed for us.

We must never concentrate on the flames at our feet; but, gaze in assurance to the promise splashed across the sky.

We are conquerors. We are not alone. We are chosen and adored – children of the light.

We will walk with you, Father in refreshing showers and in violent storms. You’ve promised you will provide, and we cling to that truth.

Hallelujah – God is with us!
