Peace – it’s so hard to grasp the peace that passes all understanding in a world that feels like it’s spinning out of control. We read the news and chaos ensues all around us. It’s easy to fret and allow anxiety to eat away at our hearts. Anxiety then turns to fear, and fear will most times cripple us.

Did you know the Devil wants us to live in fear?

He roams around us like a roaring lion waiting to devour us. He wants us to always be looking over our shoulders for him crouching in the bushes – waiting to pounce at the right moment.

Please remember: Children of the Living God — the Evil One has been defeated. It may feel like he’s in control at this very moment; but Jesus defeated the death and conquered the grave.

 We mustn’t allow fear to cripple our effectiveness here on this earth. God has told us to be strong and courageous. He has not given us a spirit of fear. So, he was with Moses – he will be with you and me.

God has not promised us this life will be easy. Daniel was thrown in a pit with hungry lions. David had to face Goliath with a few small stones. Paul was thrown in prison for sharing his faith.

One thing is certain – God has promised us a hope and a beautiful future with him. He is triumphant in eternity and if we live in him – we share in this everlasting promise.

If the trials of this life have got you down today – look to the skies and remember the hope you have in your Savior. He will not suffer your foot to be moved!
