Do you ever feel odd in this world? Almost like you don’t fit in? Your ideas and opinions, once the normal for society, are not politically vogue anymore. You find yourself scratching your head, looking down at your pleated dress and heels, feeling outdated.
Dresses were so 1950’s – it’s now expected of women to wear combat boots and slacks affirmatively standing on their right to dress like a man, gain as much work success as their counterparts, and even act like a male for that matter.
But, where does that leave the woman that desires to be a caretaker, nurturer and finds fulfillment in her soul to nourish babies with warm homemade meals and caress their forlorn rosy cheeks with sweet lullabies? Has society so progressed that she is archaic?
Our battle cries are no longer rooted in the soil of faith, family and values. No, they are centered on evolving on stances, catering to those who are popular at the time and those who seek out self-elevation.
What happened to the days where we broke bread with our neighbors, laughed in the front yard with our children and offered a bright smile to a stranger on the street? Instead, it’s culturally acceptable to laugh, with wine glass in hand, over the discussion of organs harvested from babies that were defenseless – that ultimately had no voice.
To the mother feeling amiss with emotions and befuddlement – it’s easy to throw your hands up and give up hope. You see a society crumbling – not even slowly anymore. It’s rapidly disintegrating.
You feel as though you are throwing your children to the wolves in school systems teeming with political correctness – void of prayer. Your heart mourns for your children. But, what can you do?
God whispers –don’t lose heart.
He sees you, sitting there awestruck at the news cycle that just gets worse year by year. He sees you struggling to teach your children how to differentiate between light and dark. He hears your prayers for wisdom and guidance.
And, says – keep looking to me.
Though outsiders to the culturally savvy and astute, you carry the light of Christ. You see, though the world may be crumbling, God’s word never fails and never disintegrates – it stands. Always.
“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” – Isaiah 55:11
We are building our homes and what we choose to teach and exemplify, our little ones become. You can be depressed about society; however, you have the keys to make a difference.
Raise up your children in the Lord. Stand on the solid foundation of the LORD’s principles. Shine his love in the darkness of this culture of corruption.
God has given us the keys to the kingdom. Use them. You are equipped. Others may laugh; but, you know the truth. God needs beautiful culture creators – of purity.
Don’t lose heart, perhaps this is the moment for which you were created?
For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” – Esther 4:14
